The most challenging thing we encountered was setting up the green screen and lighting correctly to avoid dark shadowns or bright patches. We did this by spreading the green screen tightly across a wall to avoid the creases. As well as this, the lights were placed in a triangle shape to make the screen evenly lit.

For a low budget music video, it is quite useful that pop videos center around the artist and narrative rather than props and settings like a video for the alternative rock genre may as it meant the video will be generally easy to create in terms of props. Furthermore, this means that a lot more of our attention can focus on costumes for the band and the storyline.

Pop videos are generally filmed in a studio with a green screen behind to create whatever effect the artist desires. A more adventurous video will most likely be seen in the genre of indie or country where nature and adventure plays a big part in the visuals for these videos. We decided to use a photography room along with a green screen to film the main performance section with the whole band. This was used because we were able to distinguish clearly that the narrative is partly based around the girls creating a music video. However, we also chose to challenge the idea of a bold and scenic video, being fitted to the Indie genre, by incorporating the concept of shooting near a Quarry to create an element of daring behaviour and a pretty backgound for the boyfriend and girlfriend to have their last date.
